Summary Experience

Barry provides health services business development, Governance and strategic advisory services to a number of Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisations [ACCHOs] and is in contact with representatives of the Office of Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Health [OATSIH] regarding health services programs and funding in Victoria.

Barry’s unique mix of commercial, operational and financial skill and significant infrastructure development experience is beneficial to organisations seeking to grow and improve operational performance or are experiencing change and require reorganisation to achieve optimal business performance supported by infrastructure that enables sustainable growth.

Barry’s professional experience has been accumulated in senior executive roles and as a management consultant in public companies, private SMEs and Government funded non-Government not for profit Aboriginal organisations.

He has also provided extensive organisational change, market analysis and infrastructure / asset improvement consultancy services to Australian Government departments and agencies, State Government of Victoria and Queensland departments and agencies, Victorian local government councils and shires.

He has an extensive track record in the provision of client side business process improvement and reorganisation, strategic and business planning, governance, risk management, financial modelling, development of significant infrastructure / improvement strategies, major projects management and operational program management across a wide range of industry sectors.

Barry has extensive experience working with ACCHOs and works collaboratively with management teams and boards of directors to ensure health service planning is supported by appropriate funding and that capital expenditure programs align with strategic and commercial objectives of organisations.

He is an experienced facilitator achieving successful stakeholder engagement and project outcomes and most recently has successfully brokered relationships between ACCHOs and Department of Finance & Deregulation and the Victorian Office of OATSIH.
