Our brief was to source target companies for acquisition in order for our client to expand its business into NSW and Queensland. Our due diligence included financial analysis determining EV, parameters for negotiations, terms documentation and successfully closing agreements. The acquisitions are successful and the business continues to trade.

Initially appointed to undertake a forensic review of this business selling product into the highly sought after snack food category in major supermarkets throughout Australia. Successful recovery and growth strategy involving brand development and strengthening of market position leading to divestment.

Transaction services (H B Smith Limited)

SBG Advisory originated and led the acquisition of this public listed company. We established a rapport with the majority shareholder and secured exclusive authority to perform due diligence. Our work included financial analysis, examination of infrastructure needs (transport / logistics, buildings and process equipment), review of management structure, identification of business process improvements, capital requirements, and associated financial modelling. We negotiated supply agreements and enlisted the support of the existing management team, securing their allegiance to the acquisition. The company was subsequently purchased and the redevelopment strategy was implemented. The company continues to operate successfully.
