Dr Mike Spearman (Partner, UK)
Mike has 30 years of professional experience as a senior consultant and strategic advisor to organisations undergoing change. He specialises in cloud based developmental work, ICT systems, and design, development and deployment of digital content. For the last 25 years Mike has been at the forefront of the development of the digital medium within venues and organisations for both commercial use and cultural enrichment. Mike was the founding CEO of the £15m lottery project, SCRAN (Scottish Cultural Resource Access Network), and also established ‘The Multimedia Team’ for the National Museums Scotland that received world acclaim for their digital applications as part of the redevelopment and expansion of the museum.
Mike has led research into the capture and use of digital content, and he has developed innovative applications that are regarded today as having been advanced in their intellectual merit at the time of the emergence of digital data and multi-media in the 90’s. He provided strategic advice to the National Gallery of Victoria as it sought to bring its organisation and people into the new age through its redevelopment, resulting in successful change of thinking by curatorial teams that set the foundation for leading digital techniques witnessed at the gallery today. He continues at the forefront of conversation about the future of consumer led product development. He founded CMC Associates Ltd in 2005 and has led numerous and successful multinational EC projects.
At SBG Advisory, his work includes creating strategies for businesses involving development of content and systems for organisations utilising cloud technologies that are informed by consumer sentiment and client expectations. Based in the United Kingdom, Mike leads our team of ICT specialists and content developers in the UK, who provide services to our clients worldwide. Mike is responsible for the interests of SBG Advisory in EU and the UK.
