St. Vincent’s Hospital

SBG Advisory team was appointed to undertake research, develop a framework for understanding local disease prevalency, prepare throughput and financial forecasts, and write the business plan for the development of Australia’s first operational percutaneous renal lithotripsy unit, located in St. Vincent’s Hospital.

Our work included business case, financial model, shared services private-public strategy and implementation of renal lithotripsy outpatient treatment including case mix funding strategy, establishment of DRG cost weight model and successfully securing Australian Government approved treatment medical rebate.

SBG Advisory’s work involving advanced medical technology and an innovative business model has proven to be successful and is now mainstream practice in the Australian health system.
