In its work for VicHealth, SBG Advisory developed one of the first examples of case mix funding for medical treatments in Victoria that led to our brieifng the department about implications for a number of hospitals considering implementation of the model and benefits that would flow from more efficient bed stays. Our work has proven to be a sound foundation for the sector that continues today.

SBG Advisory also undertook research and social / economic analysis to define current and future growth for services and programs delivered by Aboriginal Corporations. Our work included assessment of health management and business processes, we identified areas for improvement and established an innovative model defining health and community services according to a new categorisation model involving further development of health service planning model, IT support / data procurement and Governance.

SBG Advisory has consulted with both state and commonwealth health departments regarding the new approach to health service categorisation.
