Petroleum (Metric HJB)

Lead manager M&A for this national petroleum distribution and infrastructure services company. SBG Advisory originated and led the friendly acquisition of this privately owned business based in Perth with national distribution.

We undertook examination of the petroleum supply / distribution market, service agreements in place, sole agency rights held by the company for importation and sale of proprietary pump equipment, and development of an acquisition strategy comprising purchase of competitor entities to achieve earnings accretion and economies of scale. We successfully identified, evaluated and completed formative due diligence for target businesses, structuring transactions between parties, and securing support for the M&A strategy, including provision of exit strategy and associated financial modelling. We built a strong relationship with the owners and secured exclusive authority to source structured finance.

This once robust Australian business was sold to a competing private equity interest, entered into demise and no longer operates.
