Visitor Centres
At SBG Advisory, we have been involved in the rejuvenation of numerous visitor centres and heritage venues in Australia and in the UK. Our work involves a detailed review of a venue’s current financial performance, analysis of socio-economic factors affecting visitation and changes in the market place. We develop a business case identifying interventions, improvements and costs, and work with our clients to tailor scope implementation with business priorities and available funding. Our services continue with project implementation, marketing and management of the displays.
We have assisted community and tourism organisations to successfully improve the performance of venues. In Ireland these venues have been as diverse as the Dunbrody emigration venue, Russborough House, Birr Castle science centre and gardens. In Australia, our team have developed patron movement studies for the National Gallery of Victoria, Melbourne Recital Centre and Healesville Sanctuary that predicted likely behaviour patterns of patrons to inform capacity and functionality of customer service elements incorporating multi-media content, information systems and spatial qualities to optimise design of these centres.
